I recently downloaded an XP security patch and now notice
these files (?) on my desktop.  I attempted one download
late at night and lost my connection to the internet.  
Then downloaded again a day later.  Could these be as a

My computer tells me I have not activated a "default mail
client". I don't even know what that is!  What is it and

Working a spreadsheet in Quatro 10.  When I open it, the
heading and task bar for sheet appears, but the
spreadsheet doesn't.  The screen is frozen.  I can print
the spreadsheet, but it does not appear on screen and I

i recently upgraded from me to xp. in the process my dbx
files from 2001 (when I upgraded from 98se to me) to
present are missing from the normal location.  would they
have been moved or backed up to another location in the

I upgraded from ME to XP Home Edition and now XP will
only shut off with the power switch. Stupidly, I loaded
it without shutting off my Norton Virus Scan. I

getting a dialog box that states windows is shutting down
and it procedes to shut down..user didnot do anything for

Outlook express allows me to send mail but not to
receive!  This is a new problem - outlook express has
behaved itself for for some years now.

I recently had to re-install my Hard Drive.  Gateway sent
me a new HD with XP Pro similar to the first HD.  This
time, however, I did not remember to set up user accounts
PRIOR to installing MS Office, additional drivers, etc.

I have a problem... Netmeeting remote desktop sharing programme always
appears in my task bar when I start up.   It's not actually activated but I
don't want it starting up.  It does NOT appear in start up so cant delete it

I have multiple user accounts, and I have Outlook setup
in one of them with mail servers, etc. How do I apply
this to the other user accounts? I don't have to setup
each individually do I?
