Just set-up XP and I'm still getting used to it.  Can someone please
tell me where I can change my start-up items listing?  In W98 I used
to go to system info, tools, etc., etc..  In XP, I'm lost.

I have just taken delivey of a new IBM Thinkpad T30 with
XP prof installed.  It works perfectly except for on
shutdown I get the following blue screen error:  
winarp.sys - address F867ADE2 base at F8676000, datestamp

when I try to activate my copy of microsoft reader I get
a mesage to Go back to the main activation menu and
follow all the instructions but I havent been able to get
back to this page I need help with this

Hi I have the problem almost  once for the day my  pc
begings to beep and when i run the welch fix  and reboot
it stops. I also went into Computer management and it has
highlited 2 errors of faulty application but could not

I installed an antennae for a second computer to be on my
comcast internet Program.  Everything comes on except the
tower.  I think my computer is in a power save mode, and

can anyone tell me how to keep the computer from going to
the welcome screen upon start up? i dont want to turn it
off, i just want it to go directly to my account, im the
only account. it always used to do it, but for some

I bought a computer at an estate sale with XP.  I have noticed that when I
go to Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, highlight my
ISP, Settings, Password....this is where I noticed something unusual.  My
password to my ISP has only 7 letters, the password listed ...

Here's something frustrating !
I did as you suggested and rebooted into Safe Mode as per the Microsoft
webpage that you directed me to.
When I went to the TEMP folder, the file, ZL T03d76, was NOT present.  I
user profile deleted - and all my birthday photos under that profile were delete14 Nov 2003 02:00 GMT1

When i first set up computer - it was with a master
account and 3 other accounts.  I stupidly pulled my
birthday pictures from my kodak camera while on one of

emails i have but there are no emails to be read - it was

Any experts out there? I am running Microsoft Windows 2000

Trying to see pages in the history folder
(Windows/Temp/IEhistory), they seem to be kept in a list
in .dat form. Win XP won't open this file extension, says
it needs to know what program created it. Well, I haven't
