I have 43 folders in my windows directory that all
look similar to this:
C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallQ311889$
What are these for?  Can these be deleted?

when i boot up XP i always get the grey box error screen

please select start and search to try to find file etc...

Has anyone as yet managed find a fix to the problem that arises when the
file dxwebsetup.exe is run and the message  comes that MS's own file has
not passed the Windows XP certification.
I've had a look on Google and can't find any fix that works.

When I installed Win XP Home Edition, I downloaded and installed Zone Alarm
(Free) which I have used for several years. Then I learned that Win XP has a
built-in firewall that I can turn on if desired.
Is there any reason to use the Win XP firewall and uninstall Zone Alarm?

I have win xp installed and i got a error and had to uninstall it, but when
i boot from floppy and try to reinstall xp it say's can not run from dos.
can someone tell me how to reinstall xp from a dos prompt.

i changed the icon for file folders in folder options but changed it back.
however, now my folders wont open in the same window but open in new
windows.
i've tried clicking open in new window radio button and appy to all folders

I have recently been getting an annoying pop up about every
3 minutes on my lap top screen.  I have had the lap top
since June and have not had this problem.
