When I try to install some apps I get the message.."can't run 16-bit Windows
programs".
How do I over come this problem?

Here's my dilemma.  I attempted to upgrade from Windows
2000 NT Professional to Windows XP Professional.  After
several attempts to upgrade and being aborted because of
applications not compatible with XP I loaded XP as new.

Everytime I use the search facility, after about 5

I purchased a HP Pavilion 7950 desktop computer with Windows ME
installed. Win ME is a dog, very unstable, so it occurred to me to
install another operating system alongside it (the "L" that dare not
speak its name.) This other operating system is fast, stable, and runs
