My computer is a 1100 Athlon, with 512 SDRAM, and a 15 gig hard drive. I've
using Windows XP. Recently My computer been acting up, its started freezing up,
then when I tried to down new Nvidia drivers for the video card , all I got was
a black screen.  Now this computer doesn't boot ...

WorksSuite DVD. Motherboard now kaput. Can I reinstall

Here's my dilemma.  I attempted to upgrade from Windows
2000 NT Professional to Windows XP.  After several
attempts to upgrade and being aborted because of
applications not compatible with XP I loaded XP as new.

My daughters info on her AOL instant messenger keeps
getting hacked by the "puntin Monkeys".  It puts "adult"
verbage into her info.  I have edited her info and
changed her password many times... we even changed her

When I double click on My Computer icon and choose
properties, it says that I am Windows ME.  When I open my
Office Programs (individually) they reflect Windows XP.  
Is there a reason for this difference.

disable the graphics controller that came with the comptuer and just use the
graphics card.

In the past OS's (95, 98) I could ask for duplex printing.
in XP I saw before my eyes the feature settings, but
couldn't change it.

After logging on to my windows xp laptop the taskbar takes a long time
to load. this has not always been the case but i am unable to remember
when it started to happen.  Every program works and general speed does
not appear to be hampered however the start menu does not open, sytem
