I just updated my desk top computer HP8575 from windows
98 to windows xp. When I log on within a few minutes my
system gives me the following message and shuts down.
Windows must now restart because the RPC (Remote

I'm trying to run an old program. According to the MS Help, I should be able
to right click on the .exe file and udder properties I should see a
COMPATIBILITY tab. However, on my computer, I do not see this tab.
Am I doing something wrong?

After downloading a batch of MS updates, I was "gifted"
with the Welcome screen to sign in with. I have never had
this before and i would like to know how to get rid of it
(and I presume it is possible).

about every ten minutes, my computer comes up with the
message that Rpc terminated unexpectedly and then gives
me 1 minute till it shuts down.

My hard drive will not be quiet - it is constantly

when window xp is loading it gets past the welcome screen
and then goes blue nothing works eg right click the screen
but i can press control alt delete and i get task manager

I purchased wndows xp home edition and I am having

able to get my margins set, but not able to get my cursor
