on?  I'm not talking about pirating or bootlegging copies but have a desktop

I have retail copy of XP Home edition. I put it on Laptop
but now prefer it on Desktop. How to I activate it once I

I run FixIt utilities about weekly to clean out the dead links from
the registry, In the last couple of weeks FixIt has found a dead link
and when asked to remove it does so with out any complaints, when
FixIt is run again, it comes up with the same dead link and it always
