whenever i turn the computer on i get an error stating "data1.dat" not found..
anyone know what this is or how i can fix it

When attempting to install Windows XP SP1 on a new system
(new hd) the install starts up and then after passing by
the custom driver F6 prompt stuff and the recover disk it
says windows is copying files (Windows Executive...) and

When I am using the internet, Explorer randomly reloads
the page every few minutes and goes back to the previous
page.  This is on a brand new Tecra running XP.
Any ideas?  My ISP thinks it's Spyware which it is not.

I just upgraded to XP Home Edition from ME.  I hoped to
have individual Document and Settings folders for each of
the Users, as I have on my other machine which came with
XP installed.  Under ME there was only one user profile

Have many files written with Windows 95 version of Word.  
Now have Windows XP. How can I change olf word files to
new ones so that I can transfer files onto CDs?

Explorer lists the My Documents Folder in the folder
tree.  But now, it has decided to list a seperate folder
under My Computer called "User's Documents" which is
merely a link to the My Documents folder.  

anytime  using   my   pc, many programs open on their

I just started getting an RPC error when starting a
computer on a peer-to-peer network.  When Windows starts,
the message comes on and counts down, then shuts down.  
Any ideas?  Can't find much on RPC anywhere!!
