I'm new to XP, and I'm having problems with shortcuts.
In Windows 2000, I could save a file to a deep network
path by double-clicking a local shortcut in the "Save As"
dialog box.  In XP, the shortcuts don't appear, so I have

Can anyone tell me why when I try to install software, I

zipped files and the other needs Winzip to unzip the

I had subscribed The Weather Channel's "Desktop" program,
but on start up, it takes forever for the system to start
up and the culprit is this program, and it runs in the

Hi.  There are several programs that run on startup on my XP home system
that I don't want to.  I went into control panel, to classic view, taskbar
and start menu, start menu tab, classic start menu >> customize, advanced,
then click on programs folder, and startup to view programs ...
