Help. What do you do when the thing that doesnt work is
the help and support?. When I click on it it just loads
the border of the window and then freezes. It's a brand
new computer.

Start > All Programs displays only two columns of the installed programs.
I am unable to expand the displayed columns further.   Is there anyway to

this relates to ridding the disk of temp files or the
sort. My question is, under the options listed in the
disk clean-up one of them is the old compressed files. Is
it safe to delete the old compressed files?

I guess this is the place for newbies with odd questions!
Whenever I open Windows Explorer it opens in My Documents, expanded to show
all its folders, whereas what I really want is to explore the C: drive.
Where can I change this preference?

Why are microsoft updates so slow with XP Home or is it just me? Was never

Getting on in years my eyesight is failing;  I'd like to make the thumbnail
size in folder views where I have photos larger, but can't see any way of
achieving this (except by reducing the resolution for my monitor, which

I performed the Quick Upgrade so that I can keep my

I am having an extremely frustrating time trying to set
up a new home network.  When I run the wizzard I
consistantly receive an error message "Spooler Subsystem
App".  It then stops and tells me that I can manually set
