In Win98 networking started on pc level. Computers appeared by name and one
could drop down very efficient.
In XP it starts on shared folder level, in which case I get to search
through over 20 folders on every machine different and apparantly randomly

I used to have the option, when right-clicking on a file, to send the file
to a compressed folder - to zip it up.  That option has disappeared for an
unknown reason;  how do I restore it? The only options I have are physical
drive destinations, My Documents and email recipients.

when window xp is loading it gets past the welcome screen

How can I edit the New Menu.  This is the menu item that appears when you
right click on the desktop when you want to create a new folder or shortcut,
besides New Folder and New Shortcur

computer with "WindosXP". Now I can not find "DOS".  Nor
can I read disks with "microsoft Works" created
