Ok. So I installed Windows XP and everything was fine.
After the next boot I guess my soundcard, cd-rom and cd-
rw didn't work. I re-installed the cd-rom/cd-rw drivers
and they worked fine. I did the same on the soundcard and

I was able to disable the touchpad while using the mouse and vice versa on my previous laptop using ME.  I can't find the way of doing the same thing on my new laptop using XP Home Edition.

Just wondering, but why the heck do I have two Window XPs on my comp. When I satrt up my comp it tells me to pick from Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Home Edition! I have re-installed this, and same happened. How can I make the one I don't use, disappear? Or can I make it ...

I have been doing some system purging of spyware via spybot.
I also used regedit to cleanup remnants of stuff leftover from spybot.
In the HKEY_USERS section of the registry there is one section named
.DEFAULT  Under that is various subsections.

What is the file SRCC25.EXE in my windows\system32 folder.  It is checked to
run at startup?
I have had 'spyware' (I-LOOKUP, ETC) that was removed via spybot.  There
were also files like AKNRUXBEH that I have removed.

Attempting to upgrade to Windows XP.  Receiving error
message: NTLDR IS MISSING.  This looks like an Windows NT
issue, however, I do not have NT as my operating system.
