How do I compress files in a zip folder with XP? Other versions of Windows allow you to do this with Explorer or My Computer. When I checked "help," a note said this feature was not available on 64 bit XP. What does that mean?

I am brand new to XP, after loading a few programs i keep getting chimes on start-up. At first this was combined with a network conection warning. Now it's just the chimes. I know i haven't tried everything but your help is much appreciated Many thanks

I have just upgraded win ME to win XP Professional but for some reason appear to have lost the ability to use the floppy drive. Windows can detect this but describes it as not installed. Does anyone have any idea why this

Ever since I upgraded to XP-Pro, my computer refuses to recognize me pushing the F2 or Del Key during boot. Therefore I cannot access the BIOS set-up options on my computer. How do I get this ability back?

I just reformatted C-drive and XP pro was re-installed. Then, how can I reformat D: drive. My purpose to delete any confidential data on D-drive. Reformatting probably permanently remove those files.

I upgraded my 1.7ghz P4 to a 2.4ghz P4. My BIOS showed I had a 1.7ghz. I did a flash BIOS upgrade from the Dell A06 to XP2. The BIOS still shows a 1.7ghz and there seems to be no way of changing it. Windows and other test
