Desktop settings change.
When I boot up, my desktop settings have changed. This only happens when I
have used Internet explorer the previous time.

I have recently got my new compaq pc with XP home
installed. I use AOL broadband and have set up another

Fun the Autorun fix that Rick posted for me but it didn't work.  It did find
a problem which it said it had fixed when I looked in the log.  Now every
time I put a music CD in a box comes up asking what I want to do It has Play
with Media Player already selected with the box ticked ...

it was necessary to add a second, larger harddrive to my system.  everything seems to be working again except outlook express.  no email and the outlook express folder is empty.  can anyone help me get my email back up?

appears to be so selection for My Documents in either program.

The log on scren shows how many new messages each user has on hot. It is not
accorrect and we don't want it to show. I don't know haw it even came up.
