Every now and then my system crashes (fatal error), to

New computer install which puts XP on harddrive and completes
setup, but after reboot XP won't load. Have reformated the
harddrive twice to remove prior setup installs with no luck.
Any suggestions? BIOS is set up to boot from harddrive.

I just got a new computer, a Dell with XP-Home Edition.  I
copied all the data files from my old computer, which was
a Compaq Presario with Windows 98, onto a CD.  When I put

I got a new Laptop with XP and set up a home network with my
desktop(win98se).  Setting up network(Ethernet) seemed to go fine with the
wizard.  Made a floppy and used Netsetup on the desktop.  Went fine.

trojan virus some weeks ago but according to Norton it did not get into my
system and is not on my PC.
