I am getting a C++ error about earthlink runtime library and the nt authority system shuts me down because of a remote procedure call - service terminated unexpectedly. Please help

We have installed XP-home on one of our machines that will be relegated to
file storage only.  It will be shifted to running WIN98.
Is there a method for moving the "machine" registration?  I know it can be
done, but I can't remember the Microsoft phone number to address this issue.

How come when I open a folder it does not show the files inside of it?   Instead it gives me the option to search the folder for content and then it finds everything that should be inside it.  What settings do I need to change to get it to show the folders content when I open it ...

I have a cable modem.  If I logon on my account
(administrator) I have no problem getting the internet.  
But if The other users logon (limited acccounts) they
cannot access the internet.  Can anyone help?

I recently reinstalled XP, and now I want to restore my favorites in
Internet Explorer.  I saved them on a second hard drive, but now I can't
import them back into IE.  Any suggestions?

There's an "Remove Hardware" icon in the try next to the clock.  How do I
get rid of it?  It's not showing up in msconfig and I don't need it
sitting there using up resources.  The Dummies book doesn't say.....

that we need Windows 2000, so we've bought the full
version and are ready to install it. We will have to
