This is a stupid question but I need to know. I have installed xp on my desktop that was running ME. I need to install XP on my laptop that is running 98. Can I use the same program or do I need to purchase another copy of xp?

why when I try to download a patch for ie6 would it tell me that ie6 must be installed on your computer!!! I checked my version and it says ie6 and when I go to control panel it shows internet explorer sp 1 intalled ? Would anyone have an idea on this???
