Everytime i use the keyboard it causes my music to skip in the background
and also if i hold down the ctrl key and then try to select multiple items
it freezes the computer till i let go of the key. Has anyone seen this
before? Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently purchased a new computer running XP (Home).  I
am trying to facilitate a direct parallel connection from
my old computer (running Windows 98) utilizind the LPT1
ports so as to copy all of my data files.  I have used the

 Whenever I try to do an, 'Open With - Paint' on one of

when i try to acyivate task manager ( control=alt=delete ) it says the administratior "me" has disabeled task manager.  Ok, how do I reactivate ?  What did I do progionally to screw up ?

My Computer runs Xp Pro from a OEM CD  but I  downloaded service pack 1 and
2 so I have no CD for the service packs. When I tried to add fax services
(Windows Components) I get message to insert sp1 cd to get missing file

Whenever I log off XP Pro I get a close program box hat
says it is finishing a task .. then I get an error
message that systecure32 isn't responding. I would really
like to stop it. Any help appreciated.

I am new to XP and was told to update it as soon as possible. When I try I keep getting this error code 0x800c0005 and have no idea what it is or how to correct it.  Driving me nuts please help!!!!!

i just installed the Total Recorder but i can't record because it says "you have to reboot the windows before recording". so, what can I do to reboot the windows?

When I copy any text or anything, and try to paste it into a different
program such as notepad/FrontPage or word, it only will paste if the program
is open before I copy it.
 If I copy some text and then open Word to paste the text nothing gets

New hard drive installed on laptop. I installed XP upgrade
home edition (from Windows 98SE). I then installed Word
2000 (version is 3.5 years old). Now when using Word, the
cursor will randomly move about the page while I am typing

When I click Start then Programs I get two Down arrows at the bottom of the menu (like office 2000 applications).  How do I switch this off so that I see ALL the options instead of waiting for windows to wake up??

I upgraded driver for my daewoo internal adsl modem but mcaffee came up
saying there was a problem with the sockets.  on reboot no internet
connection and modem said it could not get an ip address due to problem
communicating with sockets.
