I recieved a message " Update Monitor MFC Application" while using Help and Support online.I have looked through Microsoft online and can find about two references to, but no means to update, the MFC. HELP.

I have documents that are read-only. Is there a way to change this so when I save to a floppy or cd, I'll be able to edit? Thank you in advance.

Other than uninstalling QuickTime how do you stop it from starting up when starting the computer. I can't find any setting within QuickTime to do this and it isn't in any Start folder that I have been able to find so far. I find it very annoying when non-essential programs are ...

I have a list of favorites, but it is also listed on everyones list when I,or they log on. It also shows this list if no one is loged on. How can we all have our own list of favorites, without having each others mixed in

I've just tried to make a backup to a cdr, but the microsoft backup programme said this could not be done it will back up to a cdrw Is this a microsoft quirk as I have tried a demo version of veritas orlogix backup mypc and that backed up direct to a cdr

A while back my computer became unstable. I reloaded XP and it works fine, but it appear there now are two copies of XP on the drive (it gives me two options when I restart). I'd like to get rid of that other XP, but don't know how?
