In Win XP, Occasionnaly my Taskbar disappears and when I minimize all my
windows I notice all the desktop icons have disappeared though my wall

I've just installed XP on a seperate drive and succesfully reconnected to my
small network but I called the computer "FredXP" instead of "Fred" (on
Win98SE) and now my other computers can't access it - how do I change it (or
should I?) back to "Fred"?

Any ideas how to get the owner of the file in windows XP.
I tried using dir /q but I cannot get the owner... the
output gives me a dot(...) but in windows 2000 I can see

Trying to load the Win XP Pro upgrade on to a freshly formatted hard drive.
My Win 98SE was really screwed up, so I decided to upgrade to Win XP Pro.
So I bought the upgrade CD, while I was at the store my friend decided to be
