When I format my hard drive in XP as NTFS, I always get an 8Mb of unpartition space. Can someone let me know why Windows XP does this. Thanks.

Everytime I longon, I get this error, 384, "A valid data link was not found, deleting file" So it has this ok click button, so I click and that is it. Is this something I need to be concerned of? What is it? It sarted about 2 days ago. your help would be appreciate it. Thanks.
