I installed sp1 from a cd.  the temp folder it created
will not delete.  it is 103mb.  I tried the "take
ownership of a folder.  I use my pc at home.  there is no
network involved.  thanks

I accidently deleted a user account and need to retrieve

The jpgs are saving as bmp.  IE 5.0 under Win 98 used to
do this once in a while.  I am using IE 6.0 and XP Home.
Seems to be doing it every time.  Reboot does not help.  
Can someone point me to a KB article or web page?

I edited my Display Properties (desktop background & screen saver).  Now there is a blue-gray Explorer Bar on the left side of my desktop.  Where do I find information about how to get rid of it?

Hi!   been chasing this thing for 3 weeks. Outbound e-mail failed  after being ok
error msg referred to "cannot find host". "Help" sez I need to "verify server settings
by going to "tools/accounts/properties". I can't find a 'tools" that has a
"accounts" option. Need the geekmaster

How do you disable automatic startup of programs in windows xp?
I have a program for a kodak camera that starts every time at bootup.
there is no way to disable in the kodak program.
Also have a networking program with an x  through it that i dont use.

Maybe someone in this group could help me.  I've posted to what I thought

The way I have my computer set up is when I first turn it
on you have to do atl+ctrl+delete in other to sign in,
well for the last three days I can't get in. In put in

I went to turn on my computer and it told me that my
password has been expired and I need to reset it.  So I
go to reset it, and my password won't work.  The caps
lock key is off, and I'm positive I'm typing it right.
