What should I edit under My Comp>Prop>Advan>EV>,  "User Variable" and/or
"System Variables"?
The variables temp and tmp are set up under User Variables for Wabash (user
name) located at c:\Doc & Settings\wabash\ Local setting----, and also under

Running a Asus A7V KT133 MB and win XP OS. Ever since I loaded the XP system

Started PC and at the Windows Login Screen there are no
users listed.  I hit C+A+D twice to get the login screen
and input the usernames manually.  None of them are
working.  I tried Safe mode, with the same result.

I had WinXP Pro and was running well for my home use before I upgraded to
WinXP Pro.
But that was not running well and I decided to reinstall XP Home.
When reinstalling Home,I installed as a New Installation from Win Set Up

switch users.  I can log off and my wife can log on , but
cant SU.  We had a virus found and eradicated at the same

Thanks for replying.  The new pc I am getting has its own version of Windows XP already installed in it.  I am aware that "sharing" registered software is not legal, so no need to blow the whistle yet
