New to XP(home). (Been using win98se for years.)
1. Everytime I restart system a screen opens with Norton. Can't find how to

I'm having trouble getting to this newsgroup in IE6. Starts to load and just sits there ...... I have no trouble when I use Mozilla Firefox. Suggestions?

I'm trying to upgrade from home to pro - but after it
checks the hardware configuration (and says its ok) it
goes to restart, and either freezes or a blue screen
(with writing) flashes and it restarts again.
