anyone know how i can check my coputers history even if
its been deleted would there be any back ups of this
stored anywhere on my computer as i need to to prove to a

OK. Here it is. I have a PC with 4 HDD partitions and the
CD rom is rooted. I have the Win XP pro SP1  CD content  
copied on a partition.
On C I have win 98.

Every time i switch on my pc a windows installer window
opens trying to install a program "Nokia PC Connectivity

What is the difference between a cd-rw and cd-r/rw cd.
Nero will not let me reuse a cd-rw on my cd-rw burner and
comes out with the message it requires a cd-r/rw cd.

Short of sounding absolutely stupid here, I have a
question.  When I go to the add/remove programs, on the
list there, there are a long list of *Windows XP hot fix*
items there.  Are these the updates for Windows XP that I

Is there a way to have Outlook's calendar keep old appointments listed on
the pages they were entered on so I can refer to them later? I can't see
anything in archiving that will do it.

For some reason the sound has disappeared from my computer.  I've tried numerous fixes but I'm really not all that smart about these things.  All the control panel type fixes I've tried have failed.  Is there something that I should be trying that is a common cause for this?   ...

Please help, as I am a new xp user from win 98 and find
the user option confusing. I have 5 users on the
computer, but when I check the folders out in explorer, I
find that one user is not listed with his name, but under

The following 2 updates have been installed, according to
my "installation history" a total of 7 times each.  
Successfully, I might add.  Every day for the past 6 days
I log on to my computer and it says these 2 updates are
