Everytime I reboot my machine, autochk.exe runs all my drives looking
for errors....it never finds any....
I am trying to remove this startup problem (annoyance) but am unable

We were using microsoft windows 98 and any data (text) in
any file that we were creating in windows 98 we were able
to find it using the search option.
After starting the usage of xp pro we are unable to do

Everytime I download a Windows media/audio file my browser (IE6)  shuts down
when the download is complete.
Any ideas?

Any body knows how to delete a service no longer necessary ?  Even though
the folders are deleted, XP continues to load the services at the startup (I
don't know where it takes its informations !)........... Can we delete them
definetively ????

we purchased windows xp upgrade whilst in usa , but when we got home was told this would not work
we have windows 98 on our new computer which we are building, his there somewhere that i can contact microsoft to exchange if  we are unable to use and need full windows xp home ...
