My wife and I are different users on the same pc. When I
install programs on my desktop, the same icons show up on
hers and visa vers. How can I remove desktop icons from
mine without removing them from hers?

I use WindowsXP Professional.  I'm the only user on this PC and I would like
the computer to boot into WindowsXP without user intervention for username
or password?  I don't need to be secure...

I need to re-install WindowsXP. Have formatted the c disk partition with
Partion Magic into FAT32.

Explorer (blue e) in the recently used programs menu with the caption:
