total amount of RAM misreported by XP20 Jun 2004 09:47 GMT7
I installed 2 X 256 meg RAM sticks on my mobo (checked
beforehand, and the RAM is supported, etc) but XP is only
reporting 362 meg.
I checked Microsoft's KB for this problem and one of the

I am new to Windows XP. I am trying to uninstall a
software (Pagis 2.0). When doing this I get the following

site tells me, that I have to install. Like the dutiful

We recently upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP at
first it was great !  Now I have been having alot of
problmes with programs thats running in the background
and my hourglass never goes away.  It will let you go

Every time I start windows xp home I loose the quick launch toolbar from the
taskbar. it happens in all user profiles. When I shutdown or restart it says
saving settings but it is obviously not

young son put W98 CD into XP home. hit yes button, it
tried to install in over XP. He thought it was one of his
games. It seemed to try to reformat everything from what
he said, the way I got the info out of him. anyway, XP is

For some reason, The wait buttion in the properties dialog box is grayed out. My screensaver will not run at all. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Im using xp and sometimes when I load windows, and even manage to get to
desktop mode - it suddenly switches to sleep mode and then might say "no
video input"    I checked the drivers for updates and it is apparently up to
date.
