I have just upgraded from Win 98 to Win XP on my machine its an AMD
motherboard with 2800 chipset the problem I have is this, sometimes the
computer will reset it self and when I log in it is saying that new hardware
has been found which the Universal Serial Bus controllers my ...

My problem is that the keys ¨ ¨ ^^ ´´ `` give dubble signs. I have
tryed another keyboard but makes no difference.
have anyone an idea how to solve that?

When I set up my computer, using XP Home, I was prompted
to choose folder names, and chose long names making the
paths displayed in my explorer windows too long to appear
in full.  I would like to shorten the folder names

I have Norton System Works 2004.  I have set up a daily scan.  It starts the
scan but only does 1 file, 1 boot record, and 1 master book record, and then
stops.  If I manually run the task it performs the scan.  Since I do not
have a network setup, I do use a password.

My computer will not load from cd or floppy. All I get is the mfg logo on my
screen. My WIN XP and various recovery floppies are not read after the power
button is pressed. Nothing is happening, except the logo. No f keys or other
actions get any action.
