and I will be purchasing a new HP PC also for home use.  
Why do I have to buy another version of this software for

How do you use the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" if the new
computer (notebook) does not have a serial port, but only USB
ports?  Can you use a USB cable betwen the old and new machines
for the wizard?

When I go to the Event viewer and I want to look
in "Applications" it tells me the log file is corrupt.
Can anyone tell me how I can fix the log file please?
