I just looked at a system in which the recycle bin is
missing from the desktop and from the windows explorer
view. Does anyone know how to get it back?

What's the trick to changing folder's attributes out of read only and have it stay that way? They seem to take the change OK, and the files within them stay OK, but re-opening the folder takes it right back to read only.

I have multiple accounts on my XP, and when one of the accounts runs Outlook Express, the incoming mails downloaded into the Inbox are visible only to that account afterwards.
How do I set up outlook or XP so that the full contects of my Inbox are visible to all the accounts?

I just installed XP on my PC. I had win98 se previously, and am trying to
get to this PC, via ftp, from my mac using OS 10.2. Under win98 se, I could

Hi all,  I have a Dell computer and had to re-format and
re-install the Windows software.  I have a Planar 19"
color monitor, yet when I re-installed Windows XP - Home

I'm having an issue with keyboard installation.  I have a
MS Internet Keyboard Pro (with usb hub) that is plugged
into both the PS/2 connector and one USB slot.  Yesterday,
I wanted to replace it with just a standard USB keyboard.

a particular program in this case   - notepad - Notepad no longer appears
and has been replaced by WordPad. How do I get notepad back again in the

In Windows 98, I could search within "all files" and LISP files would be
included in a search for text content in a folder.  But now, in Windows XP
pro, it will only look for text content within TXT files.  So why not LSP?
