I'm downloading the latest windows updates which I do manually every
couple of weeks but I've been slack lately and the last updates I got
were on the 24th June. Both then and the time before I was somehow able
to download the updates to a folder of my choice (and install later)

What is the consensus on the value of the backup utility that comes on the
XP Home install cd?  It apparently has to be installed manually.  It seems
to me that Microsoft does not have a great reputation about some of its

account but when we try to log into any of the other
