Even though I've got it clicked on in the taskbar properties, the "hide"
seldom used icons function isn't working. They's all there. How do I
hide them?

I let my grandson use my computer and the quick launch toolbar is no longer accesiible. I right click "properties" at the bottom of the screen, check the "quick launch" option, then click "apply" and OK.
When I then rignt click "toolbars" and check "quick launch" I get the error :

How can I keep my desktop toolbar in the start menu from changing my desktop icons all around everytime I reboot? I use the toolbar for convenience but it's a pain to have to rearrange the icons everytime I rebooy.
