All of the sudden all of the add remove programs do not show in the
add/remove programs.  It looks like everything from A  to  N  is ok. I can
scroll another page but it is empty.   I have reinstalled a couple programs

i had to re boot my comp when i did had to get new admin security when looking in program files found all my old files how do i retrieve them back to my program. thanks

I have recently switched to XP from 2000.
When I view the C drive in explorer (I normally use details view), it
works just like windows 2000 used to do, but when I view the CD drive,
the file list is grouped by whatever it's sorted by.

i updated to windows xp. in the past in widows explorer i could have the folders on the left and on the right the files of the pics. if i had i had highlighted a file it showed a thumbnail of the pic in the center with the details of all files still to the right. can this be done ...

I can't seem to figure out where all the component pieces go so that an XP
theme will load properly:  It appears that the screen saver should be in
C:\windows\system32; the icons should be in C:\windows\resources\themes; the
cursors should  be in c:\windows\cursors; and the .theme ...

I have  lost disk defrag.  When I start-up defrag from the
accessories  It comes back with Snap-in failed

click OK it goes away and doesn't start. Can anyone help with this please.

I have a lot of old videos both avi and mov media player has taken and just
applied those ridiculous things to them. These are old videos, how is it there
aren't codecs that wmp can use ? Or where can I get the codecs for wmp to use ?
I'm at the wmp9 site now, but so far nothing on ...

why can't XP just bypass the select the only possible selection screen to log
on ?
Be so much simpler for 'computer automated scripts' to run the computer.
Or where's the toggle to tell the machine there's no one else to run the
