i have just got a new computer and i'm running windows xp but whilst in windows explorer or media. i apparently develop a problem and the application just closes and sends a report but i have no idea why??

  I am using xp professional at home. After running windows update,
there was an update for Internet explorer 6. I tried to update it .
But  a box opened up and stated - You already have the most recent
version of Internet explorer.

Couple new things. I've been using win98 for the past 7 years, but now have 2
new items a mouse with a scroll wheel and win xp pro.
I've dug thru just about everything I could find to see if I could get this
mouse to respond when I move it.

Does anyone know how to erase a rewritable disc when the message I get is that the contents files are read only.  But you  cannot change these properties in bulk and there are over 175 files.

I can't use the history button on ie6 since switching to XP from win98. Just
shows me a bunch of folders in them labeled MSHist012004063020040701. and when
you expand it all you see is a index.dat file.

Re my last post (dvpsetup, 4/1/2004) acceleration is set to full and sample rateconnversion quality to Best. The wizard stillgives error message and "Use Add/Remove...."  Grateful for any other suggestions.
