Hi can someone please tell me how i can check to see if
the download of sp2 is still running on my computer. i
started it lastnight but this morning i had been logged
off so started the line again but don't know how to check

I need to log on the PC in safe mode.
I have Campaq Presario.
I do I get into safe mode?
I tried F8, but nothing.

I downloaded SP2 on my laptop (Pro) and desktop (Home), both installed
fine. (Auto Update)  I do  have an issue, though; My Pro version now
shows a Blue "Bar" when it loads,  like XP Home  (used to be green)
and it doesn't say "Pro" on any of the start up screens, though it

I can't open attachments in Outlook Express by clicking
on the paper clip.  The only way I can open them is to
put them in the forward box.

My Internet Explorer "On-Line Support" button on the Help menu has been
hijacked by Wanadoo.
How can I get rid of this impostor?

I have recently installed SP2 for Windows XP - and have
seemingly lost the ability to copy via "drag and drop" in
Explorer.  The default "drag and drop" action seems to be
to move the location of the file I have attempting to copy.

I just came across this board while researching a
problem , Im over a friend's house updating his Version
of Windows Xp and seem to be in some sort of loop with
one of the updates . "security update for windows xp

      could somebody tell me if i will need to enable
the spdif socket on the back of my computer to use it,and
if so, how do i do this.

when right-clicking on a picture in internet explorer, it always saves it as
a BMP which take up a lot more room.  why does it not save it as a JPG even
when it IS a jpg?

My son accidently deleted his music files by hitting shift and delete
(not sending files to the Recycle Bin).
