well so far the little "click" of the upgrade icon is working  ...  I now
have about 40Meg of the upgrade into my computer ... I was set to
autoinstall and have a broadband connection ... thought I would get it all
in one setting ... but Microsoft has broken it up over a few days ...

I have been using a backup program to save key files to DVD+RW for several
months quite successfully. For the second time, however, I have a problem

When I reboot and hit F8,which should give me the Advanced Options
menue, including  booting into Safe Mode,Instead,  I get a screen of
options to boot into the floppy disks, or hard disks. Any suggestions,
please?

My norton scan always finds this file on my computer and
when I check it and say fix it, nothing happens...The
full file name is
C:\programfiles\commonfiles\Installshield\professional\run

I manually shut down xp and when I started it back it wanted to do a disk
check.  What is disk check?  Is it something I should manually do
occasionally when I clean the disk, defragment, etc?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A45 notebook.
It has a Pioneer DVD (Multi) writer and came with XP home.
I could not use the DVD 'Writer' functionality thru XP Home
(It would not detect the blank DVD)

I installed SP2 on my Windows XP Home Edition.  Since doing so, whenever I
click on a icon to start some program, a Windows installer window opens that
says it is trying to install Money 2002.  It eventually asks me for the CD.
