On one of the newsletters I subscribe to I get the following message:
"Your current security settings probihit running ActiveX controls on this
page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

after installing sp2 I'm getting the following error:

I'm new to XP, and have a minor complaint.  I REALLY miss the "Show
Desktop" icon that is on previous versions of Windows.  I see where on XP,
you can right click on the taskbar and choose "Show Desktop", but that's an

When I click the "turn off computer" icon, it takes a couple minutes then
comes up with a window saying "it's now safe to turnoff your computer".
Is there a way to skip this last step and have it shutdown when you click
"turn off computer"?

I have installed a wi-fi card on my laptop.  tried to use
at a hot spot and found that a connection is made ok but
when i lauch explorer it only wants to use dial up
connection and dosn't seem to see the wireless

Do anyone know if you can configure a desktop that is twice as wide as
the monitor resolution e.g 2048x1024 for the desktop and 1024x1024 for
the monitor. Then simply be able to scroll with the mouse between
them..

I am cleaning up my PC of superfluous folders created manually to store
files within My Documents, and have got rid of most.
However, one particular folder is causing me problems.
