I just have the administrator account. I want to set up myself and my husband as users. How do I save the settings for the "administrator" as my own. Once I add myself, the administrator goes away and so do all my settings.Please help

Look it's not brain surgery. Whether it is a car, a tank, a computer, a service pack, whatever, there are always problems with new things. For god sakes, if the computer has worked without SP2 up to this point, it will work

When I was installing and setting up XP, I made a mistake and put my computer in a domain instead of a workgroup...now I cannot logon xp at all. Is there anyway that I can go back in and change my computer to workgroup

I was about to order a new 250Gb USB Ext Hard Drive to use for backup's, archive files, etc but heard somewhere that there is a limit on the size of hard drive acceptable to XP. Is that the case?

With the help of various people here (thank you) I finally was able to get both my XP and 98 systems on sharing DSL and networked together. Now something changed or I changed it but not on purpose. assume XP on and working internet (IE):
