Just bought a laptop to use in the car for GPS, which is working great. The
problem is as I'm driving, the laptop shuts down and I have to log back on.
I've set the Power Options in the control panel. The "Enable hibernation"
box is not enabled, the "prompt for password" is not ...

I just got a PC which has Win XP Pro.
I had a Freecom CD / DVD-RW drive on my old PC which came with Nero 5.5
which I used all the time to back-up on using the In-cd packet writing
software that came on the Nero floppy disk that came with the CD.

I'm new here, this is the first time I used this service.
I have a network at home, I have 3 PC's, I connected a
printer that I want to share with others PC but I could't

Another user account has been added to my computer, which I do not want

I had this same problem with win98, a break in period where I had to let the
machine know how I wanted things. and it was a learning process to know just
what the machine would accept or reject. requiring many re-installs of the OS.
And other programs over and over again.

I set up a new user for my girlfriend.  After turning the
computer off and turning it back on, my girlfriend is not
able to log on.  When she types in her password, the

With Windows 98 I could choose to have documents stored
by "date". I don't see this option in XP. Is there a way
to list docs. by date?
