Is there an easy way of renaming a batch of files on XP? Transferring large quantities from digital camera and it's a pain renaming each one! Thanks

When I put a CD in which has just jpgs on it I don't get the option to view as a slideshow, like I do when I open up a folder with jpgs in. Should I be getting this option? My friend says that when she inserts a CD with jpgs she gets the option. It does give me options ...

Every time i connect/login to the internet, couple of .tmp files (names starting with 'f' like fa707f5f_{F93287FC- 65EE-4612-8852-C5AAE0AC9E0D}.tmp) of 0kb size are autogenerated in the "C:\WINDOWS" folder..

Talking about indexing of drives, I know this is available is win-XP.. But is it available in or a part of win-ME??? what is cisvc.exe??? what is services.msc???

My new Dell 2400 was working fine until I updated the OS with Service Pack 1. In the middle of the installation, the computer restarted and now the mouse is not recogonized. I contacted Dell, who sent out a new mouse
