I can't use safe mode to remove stuff because whenever I enter it, I get "input out of range" and black monitor. I have a Neovo F417 17 " flat panel monitor, and I note that 600x480 is not a choice when setting resolutions - only 800x600 up to 1280x1024. Using XP

When I restart my laptop cpu with xp home edition, windows will not load past the windows xp logo. Shutting down and restarting doesn't work and it wont let me boot from cd. Wnat now?

Yesterday, I was at Staples. They had a display of SP2 CD's at the front of the store. I took one. MS is handing out free XP SP 2 cds in USA Staples stores. Updated my XP home OK.
