I have a desktop at a location with no internet. This computer is 2 yrs. old
and I had to reinstall XP from the disk that originally came with the
computer new. It was activated on this same computer by internet 2 yrs ago. I

Today, I installed XP SP2 update and when I now start-up
the computer, two things occur:
1.  The my documents folder opens in the center of the
desktop (I have to close it)

I am running Windows XP SP1 with a Soyo motherboard.  The computer was
improperly shut down so it was running the check desk and my father
thought it was too slow so he turned off the power.  Well after that

My hard drive was set up as C: primary and D: logical. I have created
a new partition splitting C: using Partition Magic. I set it up as a
