I just got a copy of Windows XP Pro and noticed it's for upgrading win 95 or earlier versions. I have Win98 second edition. Before I open the box... is it going to work? Or do I need a specific win 98 upgrade? Thanks

A friend has Windows XP Home and Outlook Express 6. Each time she opens up her computer and after the desktop is displayed the computer automatically dials up her ISP - Virgin.net. This means that she cannot use her computer without going on line.

I have windows XP (home edition) I want the modem to disconnect when on line after a specified number of minutes of inactivity. Control Panel>phone and modem options>modems tab>click modem.then properties>click advance tab>then change default references.
