I have XP Home. When trying to log in as Administrator, it asked for a password. I did not put up any password for it during installation. I tried to put in the password I have for log in, but it would not accept. What can I do?

I just upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro but none of my settings/program installs and links migrated. I can see all my data files and program objects but all of the shortcuts, cookies, favorites, etc. are no longer accessible.

I has a partitioned drive C: and E: and using Partition Magic I have merged the two together. This threw up no problems, but when it rebooted after the merge it is now reporting searching for boot record from IDE-0... Ok and then just hanging. I cannot get to any command prompts at ...
