I don't have the cd that came with machine, how can I add fax to my windows xp?

can anyone help?
am trying to make a set of recovery cd's and keep coming up with error 12 -

Just got a new computer with P4 530 and motherbord which uses the 915G, HDD

I haven't installed SP1 for WinXP prof , I got SP2 on cd, and when i try to
install it some errors come and it won't work,
does it necessary to install sp1 before installing sp2 on pc.

How do I customize the user accounts?  I want to remove
access from programs not needed by other users, so they
only have what they need.  But can not find any info on
