Recently bought a new computer which is great. I decided
to go straight onto broadband, but am having troble
getting started. Bought a wanadoo modem package which is
fine, but it won't connect. Can anyone tell me, is it

I installed XP Pro clean, formatting the disk first. When
the installation was complete it opened a sign on screen
asking for the administrator password. Nothing was asked
for during the install and no password was set. I tried

I'm getting a black box  headed 'C\windows\system32\cmd.exe,' followed by a
page called 'anaalor .html' constantly  appearing, how can I get rid of it ?.

Currently my pc is having a dualboot between xp and
linux. When I try doing a fresh install of xp, during the
setup I was given 3 option
1) Setup windows xp on selected item, press enter.

After upgrading from ME to XP with a clean install, I have installed my modem
(+drivers) again, but am having problems staying connected.  I can connect ok
for the first two minutes, then the connection no longer works, giving me the
'Page Cannot be displayed' on every web page.  ...

by ps2.  needs to be low: 5 - 5.5 or 6.  every time i go into "optimiz
dvd" where the bitrate adjust is, i get an error message???

Am new to using XP and I have the Home edition on my
laptop. But I cannot find Powerpoint??
Is it even included in the Home edition, or is it only in

After connecting with my dial-up network my pc displays a windo

Starting a few months ago when shutting down the computer (XP SP1) the
shutdown occasionally stops with a blue screen indicating "A problem has
been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your

Morning all,
Please be patient with me. I am computer illiterate.I want to reinstall my
windows XP. The computer has not been working properly. I do have the
upgrade that was made available. So I put the disk in.
