How many fonts can I load into Windows XP and still have it run okay? Just got a new computer with XP, had ME before and could only keep about 600-700 installed at any one time. I do word processing in several languages, and need fonts for various alphabets other than English.

I have just installed SP2 on my computer with WinXP Pro. Now, when booting into Window, I get a message box. At the top is "Stop Device". The message is "This application will not run in this operating system".

I recently used my XPrecovery disc - which has worked fine, BUT - all my old files/programs seem to be in some sort of 'archive' - I can access tem, but they don't appear in the program list any more. Any help appreciated - Dennis

I have an uncle whom I let use my computer. He gets on this things and prints out masses of documents and its burning up my cartridges like mad. I've tried disabling printers both through my Acct and through the Administrator with no success~

Hi Rick, Thanks so much. I went into folder options and display full path i title bar was checked, so I unchecked it, did apply, ok and rechecke it. Now it's working properly. :) I appreciate your help.

I've got a yellow shield in the noticification area (near the clock) that has an exclamation point on it and says "downloading updates" on it when I hold the cursor over it. It says nothing when I right click it.
