Right click Task Bar > Properties > Customize  then Past Items ....
  The icons in the Past Items window seem to be corrupted as the icons do
not match the details of the icons and the icons load very slowly on startup .
   How do I remove a past item from the Past Items list ...

When I start up the computer is shows that it's an DXXP systm but goes
directly to a password, login box, there is no start menu or anything else on
the desktop. How can I get into the system?  

I'm running XP Pro, Norton antivirus, and ZoneAlarm free firewall. I
recently noticed a yellow shield with an exclamation mark on it, in my
tool bar. Pointing to it reveals "Downloading" and a %. I can't get any
further information from this icon, with single/double  left/right

What is ts.exe used for?  I went to the site below, and it said to end the
ts.exe process, but its not listed in the list of processes.

whenever my system shuts down or even goes to screen saver i have to reset my
display because it goes to default settings. It has changed the display when
I am actively using the computer! Am i doing something wrong,i
make sure i push "apply" then "o.k." but it still goes back to ...

I'm still having the same problem I wrote about before.
I cannot copy files to a CD-R using the WinXP CD copy feature.
I still get a error message saying there is something wrong with the CD-
R media, yet I can still use that same media with Nero to burn a CD.
