win XP start up trouble15 Oct 2004 19:55 GMT1
I have a brand new laptop w/ Win XP sp1 installed.  Just recently when either
person logs on Windows starts up and then stalls.  The wallpaper is
displayed, but no icons.  When I bring up the Task Manager and start a new
task (Exployer) everything works fine.  Any suggestions.

PC is horribly slow after installing XP Home SP215 Oct 2004 16:34 GMT2
After "upgrading" to SP2, it takes about 10-15 minutes to fully boot.
The hard drive just runs and runs.
After it's booted up, switching between tasks can take 1-2 minutes!!!
Every app takes minutes to launch!
